Robert Stanley Sosnowski, 72, of Middletown, CT, husband of Mary-Ellen (Zampini) Sosnowski for 42 blessed years, passed away on Sunday, November 30th, after bravely fighting a long battle with leukemia. He was born on May 28th, 1953, in Meriden, CT, and was the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Misiazek) Sosnowski. Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his son Matthew J. Sosnowski of Los Angeles, CA, and a sister Debbie and brother-in-law Steve Skystimas of Waterbury, CT. Robert was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a BS in Business Administration. He had been employed as a Cost Accountant for Pratt & Whitney, and retired in 2011 after 38 years of service. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed the outdoors. He was willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed assistance, and will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 12th at 10 a.m. in St. John’s Church, Middletown. Calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the Lastrina Family Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Middletown.
