The Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, now known as Lastrina Family Funeral Home, has been family owned an operated since 1847.  We are dedicated to providing quality service and care for everyone.  The Lastrina Family Funeral Home has been proud to serve the Middlesex County for over 150 years and we continue to strive to offer the finest services to you and your loved ones.  We understand that making decisions for a funeral are not always easy and that is why we are here with all the personal attention and care a family funeral home should give.  In a time when emotions and stress are high, we are here to provide you with comfort in knowing your loved one is receiving the best care. 

Owner and director Sebastian Lastrina has been a licensed funeral director for over 40 years and takes great pride in providing nothing but the best for you and your family.  Mr. Lastrina takes care of each funeral personally to ensure that your family receives the best care we can offer.  

While the Lastrina Family Funeral Home has always been family-run, an official new member to the team is Mr. Lastrina's daughter, Stacey.  She is proud to have just completed her schooling and board exams as she continues to apprentice through the business she has been an unofficial part of her whole life.

On a personal note, Mr. Lastrina (or Sebby, as many people know him) comes from a family that has been in Middletown for four generations.  Many people may be familiar with the former Lastrina’s Bakery and Pizzeria on Union Street, owned by his grandparents.  Or you may know Mr. Lastrina’s other grandparents, the DeMelis’, a well-known family in Cromwell.  For this history, Mr. Lastrina is proud to be personal friends with many of the families who come to the funeral home.  Our family has also been honored to serve many friendly faces on Christmas Eve for the very special dinner we host which is open to everyone in the community and has served thousands of holiday meals since 1997.
