In Loving Memory of Oeun Heng
March 20th, 1952 – June 10th, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Oeun Heng, who departed this life on June 10th, at the age of 74. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love, wisdom, and strength touched the lives of all who knew him.
Oeun was born on March 20th, 1952, and throughout his life exemplified dedication to his family, resilience through life’s challenges, and kindness toward those around him. His greatest joy was the family he built and the relationships he nurtured throughout his life.
He was the devoted husband of Heather Heng, with whom he shared many years of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Together they built a family that became the center of his life and his greatest source of pride.
He was a loving father to Samath Heng, Marida Heng, and Lucky Heng, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts and honor the values he instilled in them.
He was also a cherished father-in-law to Catherine Balay and Chanarun Ly-Heng, whom he welcomed into the family with warmth and love.
Oeun was a proud and loving grandfather to Jamal Vaughters, Kaysin Heng, Amara Clark, Alexa Heng, Chandelya Heng, and Bryce Heng. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Ethan Heng, whom he loved dearly. We take comfort in knowing they are reunited in peace.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Chea Heng and Yoeun Than, whose love and guidance helped shape the man he became.
Oeun will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his kind heart, his resilience, and the countless memories he created with those he loved. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him, and his legacy will continue through the family he cherished so deeply.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for the time we shared with him and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
May he rest in eternal peace.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 9 a.m. from the Lastrina Family Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown. Calling hours will be held from 7 a.m. until time of service.
