John "Jack" Correll

John “Jack” Correll, 79, of Durham passed away on November 29th at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Paula Casserino Correll. Jack was born in New Britain on December 5th, 1945 to the late Howard and Violet Correll. Jack was a graduate of Middletown High School and Hartford State Technical School. He went on to have a very successful career in the technical and computer sales field. He lived life to the fullest and always took time to stop and smell the roses. Jack will be remembered for his great personality, warm smile, and contagious laugh. He is also survived by his loving children: Brian (Audra) Correll, David (Kristi) Corrrell, Karen (Matthew) Comstock; sister Gail (Thomas) Fraioli; grandchildren: Alexa, Victoria, Kade, Kai, and Kolt Correll, Derek and Trent Comstock, Art, Megan, and Adam Cross; daughter-in-law Susan LaMonica; mother-in-law Regina Casserino, sister-in-law Rosalie Walsh; brothers-in-law Joseph Casserino, Larry Casserino, Jim Walsh. Also many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Orlando Casserino and brother-in-law Orland Casserino Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian’s Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of the mass. Burial will be in St. Sebastian’s Cemetery, Middlefield.

The Lastrina Family Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown, is in charge of arrangements.
